juice, 3 tablespoons of fresh basil, 4 cloves of garlic, ¼
cup of olive oil, ½ cup of balsamic vinegar¸ two
15- ounce cans of drained cannellini beans, and salt and pepper
to taste. Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Take the olive oil and
brush it on the bread slices and place on a cookie sheet. Once
browned, flip over to brown the other side and remove from the
oven. Rub each piece of bread with a garlic clove. Let sit. Pour
all the balsamic vinegar in a sauce pan and simmer on low heat
until syrupy in texture. Take the mixture off the heat and let
sit. In a food processor place the cannellini beans, garlic, lemon
juice, basil and salt. Drizzle in your olive oil and turn on the
blender. Blend to a creamy consistency. Finally, spread this mixture
over your bread toasted slices and drizzle with a bit of balsamic
vinegar and olive oil.
