about Obesity and Stomach Cancer
Whether
you are obese or overweight is something that is determined by
calculating your BMI or Body mass Index. BMI is determined by
taking into consideration your height and weight along with your
age. It is BMI that tells you what percentage of fat is accumulated
in your body. So what is a healthy body weight?
Well, a healthy bodyweight is one that is equal to a BMI that
is lower than 24.9. This means those who are between 25 and 29.9
come under the overweight category. However, if your BMI is 30
and above, it means you are obese. In fact obesity is one of the
fastest growing ailments affecting people worldwide. In the US
more than 1/3rd adults and 17% children / teens suffer from obesity.
Obesity can lead to a lot of medical conditions. In fact, obese
people are more at risk of contracting cancers, heart disease,
high blood cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke
and other similar health conditions. Diabetes, colon cancer and
heart disease can be life threatening if not diagnosed and treated
early. Obesity can also cause stomach cancer, throat cancer, gall
bladder cancer, breast cancer, kidney cancer, etc.
If you want to avoid getting killed by stomach cancer, it is important
that you prevent obesity from taking over your life. This means
you have to choose the right kind of foods, exercise regularly
to burn all the excess fat and at the same time eat a balanced
diet so that you can lose some of the weight that has been troubling
you for a long time.
Most foods that we consume outside are rich in fats and calories
which are not healthy for your body. If the food we consume is
not healthy it can be quite dangerous and affect the lining of
the stomach walls thereby causing stomach cancer. If it is not
diagnosed and treated early it can be a life threatening disease.
Prevention is the best form of defense against stomach cancer.
This means if you do not want to be affected by stomach cancer,
get rid of obesity. This is easier said than done but definitely
not impossible. The first thing to do is cut down of food stuff
rich in fats. There are a number of low fat diets that you can
try. Similarly, if you do not have the time to exercise regularly
at a gym, consider exercising at home. Likewise, avoid driving
to even the nearest stores. Instead, cultivate the habit of walking.
It is the best way to get rid of all the excess fat from your
body in a natural manner.
